Has anyone else been bummed car shows won't be going on for a while if this keeps up?

Those hubcaps that are on ours were rare even when the car was 2-3 years old. we lost one and could not find any other to replace it, and I have only seen one other LTD II with those hubcaps...

Mine had the more cadilliac looking style ones on it.

Oddly enough some of this 70s "junk" is becoming collectable. Probably cause the 60s stuff is so outta everyones price range nowadays.

People seem gravitate towards what they had in high school, which is usually about the same vintage as what their parents had when they were growing up... and is about the same age they are. Hence my ‘85 I got when I was 16, I was born in ‘84 and dad drove a ‘81 C10 for most of my childhood.

Just a casual observation I have noticed.

My car club started out a Model A club in the early 80’s, that is all that was featured at their show.

Now not a single member has a Model A and out of the 2-300 cars at the show we might have 2 Model A’s.

Time marches on...

I get a monthly magazine, Classic Car, which is about 60% geared toward the antique and older cars of the 50's and earlier. But they also run articles about the upcoming classics, from the late 70's and early 80's. Not the collectables, but the everyday cars and trucks many of you grew up with.
Wagons seem to be the new collectibles. All brands from the 70's and 80's are
coming out. Even the big family cruisers from that era are starting to make a hit, basically because there were so many of them, and it's pretty easy to find a pristine one for very reasonable $$$.
For several years I was into big station wagons, and had a 1995 Buick Roadmaster, loaded to the hilt. Perfect cruiser, but let it go when we bought a motor home, and it sat more than it was driven.

I got a weird craving lately for a mid 70s Town car, or Cadillac.

I was planning to go to the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA again this year, the Sport Trac Club had a decent turnout last year, but I'm afraid to pay for reservations ahead of time if they end up cancelling it.

I styled my 94 after the mid-70’s F series. would love to redo the front grille/ headlights to look more like that era.

Its my “play” on the F150 emblem, I figure R is “R-series”, 140 is a little less than 150 (and its a 140 cubic inch engine)

Well supposedly Ford Nationals in Carlisle is going to happen they allegedly contacted a friend of mine who own the Puppy crusher hotrod. And they a desperately looking for cars to appear. Its Mayb15thish and Pennsylvania is supposedly cower in place until the 1st of May.
