harmonic balancer

Hey guys I did the duraspark and reg carb but still lacking on power on the upper end does the harmonic balancer warp with time and pressure to throw the timing off and also where can I get a new one just because it is running so good right now I want to make it better and still struggles on a mountain pass thanks for everything Kim

Put a Holley 350 2 Barrel Carb on it. I had one on my 85 and it screamed. You will definately notice it running richer though. Signs of black soot in tailpipe. It bolts right up to the factory intake manifold too. Here is a pic of what mine looked like:

The harmonic balancer is just THAT! It balanced the engine from the front. It has nothing to do with the timing. If your engine is running good...leave it alone.

Put it in a lower gear for climbing up mountain streets.
