Hard to put in Gear

I have 95 Ranger,4.0 5spd with 111k. Just bought the vehicle. The shifting into 1st and R seemed to take a while for the gears to slow to shift but they eventually did. Otherwise shifting seemed acceptable although difficult to put into each gear. I replaced the clutch master cylinder as this has fixed the problem on vehicles in the past with similar symptoms. Now with new WELL bled master cylinder it is virtually impossible to put it into R with the motor running and 1st is about same diffulculty as before the repair. Any advice would be appreciated.
