Happy Thanksgiving 2025

As is family tradition, we celebrated my son's birthday also (it was last week) by putting candles on the pumpkin pie. He turned 36 but my mother had neither a 3 or a 6 candle but somehow had four 9's.
My wife, being an accountant, quickly calculated that four 9's = 36.

I was wondering about the 9s when I saw it on Facebook. Figured it was an inside joke of some kind.

No, just my family being adaptable and thinking on our feet. :D

The best thing about Thanksgiving this year, I connected with almost every one of my family members.

OK, it’s a 51/49 in favor of best thing

Spent the day with the cute little brunette and friends since my family is hundreds or thousands of miles away.

And you guys. One of the things I love about this truck club as it does feel like a family.

Oh crap, 24 days till Christmas and I have to do it again

A bit of a belated Happy Thanksgiving from me...

I had a little accident finishing up Thanksgiving dinner. Too many hot things coming out of the oven at the same time. I pulled out the stuffed mushrooms... which I made in a fry pan... and put them on the stove. Pulled the turkey and green bean casserole out and set those on the table. Went back to finishing the mashed potatoes and reached down to move the stuffed mushroom pan a bit and burnt my hand...pretty bad.

I'm thankful that I didn't spend the afternoon in the ER. I made it through dinner with an ice pack and then slathered my hand in some good burn cream. Been a few days and I'm getting back to normal.

I have so much to be thankful for and I thank the lord daily for all of it... including the TRS family.
