Hello my names Dan, I'm from jackson nj and am now the proud owner of a 1992 ranger xlt. This is my 2nd ranger my first was a 99 xlt 5spd, sadly this one automatic =/. I found this site in my quest to find some information regarding transmission swaps. My trans recently sprung a leak from what looks like either the tq. Conv. Seal or the mainshaft seal as the fluid is leaking (pissing) from between the motor and trans. Soo I started pulling transmission out this morning and just my luck I'm now sitting here in the garage and staring at my truck as it sits half apart in the piss pouring rain outside... figured now would be the best time to introduce myself and show off a few pics of my new daily driver (rolling project) lol.

First it looked like this

Than I added some 33's

Than I decided this truck was wayyyy to clean and nice so I rearened and totaled 2013 elantra

The A4LD is know to leak from that seal.

SEE... Thats why I own more then 1 RBV. (5 to be exact.) I always have at least 1 up and ready for a Ranger meet and greet.

Thanks evrybody! As for my overall plans, really nothing huge but I would like to convert over to a solid front axle, maybe a v-8 swap down the road but for now I have a 3in body lift I want to install and id also like to do some bolt ons under the hood (headers,t.b spacer, etc.). I alredy have 2 projects I'm balls deep in right now and this truck is just to get me back forth to work with the occasional weekend in the local woods spot...
