Had this happen Wednesday! 93 4x4

Hard to tell from the picture, but you might need the whole spindle.
I did rplace it. The threads were messed up. Bought a 94 exporer 4.0 4x4 no running for the donor.

Nice parts rig. It's got a slightly wider 31 spline rear axle if you wanna go through the trouble of swapping it in. Just make sure the axle ratios match first or swap both to the truck.

Thanks. I'm going to keep it till I get all I want from it.

The problem I always have is the inner nut turning when I crank down the outer. I know part of is crappy lock rings. Mine seem to always just slide right into the threads on the spindle. I usually reset things 4-5 time because is the inner nut turn.
Yeah many of the lock rings made nowadays are rather sloppy in the spindle groove...
What I've been doing is tack a tiny bit of weld onto the ring opposite of the lock tab, then file/grind/smooth it down (Dremel works well for this) just enough so the washer and its tab fits snugly into the spindle groove.

I do it this way so as to not alter the temper of the metal of the tab itself.
