While doing some work to my 3.0 I noticed that there was what looked to be remains of a ground strap. It was bolted to the back of my Driver's side cylinder head. The strap was completely gone. Rusted away. Where does it lead to?

I see no signs of it attaching to the body or frame anywhere near it, but that's not saying much. The previous owners (plural) neglect is apparent.

BTW, I've looked through my Ford Elec. manual and it'll only show me the location of the ground.

Thanks.

Wiper motor mount bolt, but anywhere on that firewall will do.

Run another to the frame tying the three together; can't hurt.

There was one that ran to the ignition coil bracket to the wiper mount.....or so I thought. Or did someone just try and make an easy fix by placing it there?
