Greetings from South Kalifornikstan

dont matter, especially if the numbers match, those things are rare....

A well know car guy within our circles (Dennis McCarthy) did all the fast and furious cars...they are working on the next one, which is nascar themed, first thing he did was buy up all the round go round anywhere within sight, money no object...scored some cool stuff...Nascar motors and whatnot...His kids nova has one now, sounds and winds up like nothing Ive ever seen or heard...Wicked Sh!t.

Yup, built 1500 of them in 1970. And even rarer, only 500 Dodge Charger Daytona's built in 69. They are really scarce, especially the Hemi versions. Same power packages apply.

U say ur in Tennesee eh? I may hafta check it out....

Oklahoma. Damn near right at the center of the country. I-40 goes through east west. I-35 goes through north south.

But yeah, my dad was born and raised in Tennessee. How'd you know that? LOL!!

Dang 55 your really got me sold....I was under the impression that small town cops and small town folks in no hurry would have folks like us goin 35mph across open road in the middle of nowhere....

I got a ford fusion v6 as my sleeper to weave around slowpokes in the fast lane, yet stay under cops noses.

and a yamaha R1 for my IDGAF go fast machine. But I ride it w/ major spidey sense (constant lookout and ready for a short pursuit/evasion)

Im not even a speed demon, I just dont got all day and understand things like traction, gravity and technology can make for safe but efficiently fast travel. Makes no sense to create this amazing transportation machine, just to limit its abilities for the sake of human incompetence.

Man, I love it here. That's all I can say about it. Got a fast car, fast truck, two fast motorcycles, and a clunker to drive when Mother Nature is throwing a tantrum. ;-)

I can't even remember the last time I ever cruised a boulevard in CA. I used to cruise Van Nuys, Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards. Cops shut all that down years ago. Yet we still do it here, and the police seem fine with it.

Lol I realized and edited that, too late...Idk something had me think Tennessee, then I re read and was like doh...

Been to Tennessee many times in my youth. Lovely state. I think, too cold for my ass. Colder than it is here. I can handle it here. Winter's aren't really all that bad. Once in a while we get some really nasty winter weather, but the last was 2009/2010. Been pretty mild since then. Cold, but not a lot of the slippery stuff.

What about like finding a cool chick (Im 39 single no kids wouldn't mind settling down but LA women are crazy/thirsty), or buying a cool house, and work (like if I were to start a business, or join someones)...everything else lifestyle wise sounds up my alley...I have guns and fast or clunky machines....But no 1911's I cant hit a barn w/ them, too used to Glocks :(

I'm not trying to get you to move here. That is a highly personal decision. Job, wife, whatever. Me, I'm 58 and single. I do what I want, when I want, as often as I want, as long as I want. Buy what I want, when I want. ;-)

Well, from my perspective, chicks out here are as cool, if not cooler than any I ever dated in CA. I dated some freaky chicks out there. Most of them here seem to have their heads on straight. You realize, in 2016, every single county in Oklahoma voted for Trump? Every county. I don't know if you're a democrat or Republican, I'm Republican, have been since I turned 18 in 1979. CA was alright up until about the mid 80's. Then the dem's took over, and look out below!!!

Yeah, we still have "Karen's" out here. But they are few and far between. Avoid Wal Mart and you avoid the "Karen's". LMAO!

But having said all that, I pretty much avoid the dating scene. Just happy being single. There's women tried to get me to "snap out of it". So far, I've held them off. LOL!!

I'm 58, but I ain't doing bad!

Well you sort of are involuntarily then lol...and yea Im not pushing the subject of being single, because like u described, life is good!

You did strike a nerve, not in a bad way, I just realized despite this, I do sometimes find myself doing things I dont want...like more often than I should be under such conditions...sometimes between taking care of my house, job, bills, friends, ladyfriends, family etc....I might as well be too busy for all that due to wife and kids...Maybe I can hire some for an alibi lol. Im being silly though, its not hat bad.

I definitely wouldn't mind living out my days in a less oppressive place where I can enjoy my hobbies and anti social life without so much social restriction

It would admittedly be hard to uproot, I have the natural human fear of change, and got a pretty nice place in the area I was born and raised.

Although seeing all the changes helps me understand its just another town...."the pool hall that I loved as a kid, is now a seven eleven" -Social Distortion.

In my case it was a 76 full service gas station we all worked/ hung out at through high school, and its now a starbucks.

Hmm makes sense...fair enough lol and yea not bad at all!

I am not sure what I am...Like I am pro choice, pro gun, pro social freedoms, pro business freedoms...I guess I am pro freedom..My college professor said Im a libertarian 🤷‍♂️.....Honestly I dont think any of it makes much of a difference, because the next guy could change it all anyways....Im a lets leave eachother alone unless we need help, or a drinking buddy.

My parents moved from New Jersey to CA in 1976, when I was 15. They first went to San Diego, but a year later moved to Palmdale, in 1977. Palmdale in 1977 was a ghost town. Hardly any traffic lights, mainly stop signs. Major ghost town. When I left in 2002, it was LA to the north. I couldn't stand it any longer, had to GTFO of Dodge. I had married a woman from Oklahoma in 1994. So that's how I ended up here. I work aircraft, and it was dead after 09/11. Moved to Oklahoma, Midwest City, where her parents live, to start again. In 2012, she wanted a divorce. I let her have it. I ain't never doing that shit again, EVER! I take a lady out to dinner here and there. But mainly, try and keep my distance. I'm afraid, if I even let slip I think one is cute, I'll end up ensnared again. LMAO!!

And all that you just said there is Oklahoma in a nutshell. Leastways, from having lived here 18 years and watched the news on a daily basis. It's a far cry from CA. But hey, do your homework. Don't just up and go. I wouldn't. You have the oceans there, we have large lakes. Large lakes. Every once in a while, you might even spy a chick in a thong on one of them lakes. I was out at Draper Lake last weekend, dude pulled up in a dually with a 37 foot twin engined BAJA behind it. It was an awesome boat, something you'd expect to see in Florida on the Gulf.

When I moved here in 02, I could get a CCW easy. Then in 2011 or 12, it became a handgun permit because Open Carry became legal. Then it became Constitutional Carry and no permit required last year. Switchblade knives, legal. Bowie knives, legal. I mean, it's pretty much anything goes here. Carry a 1911 open, and the police don't even ask you about it. It's strange, and hard to get used to.

If only they knew what they do to us...or maybe they do....

U ever visit back? My buddys in Palmdale/lancaster area...has a place off palmdale blvd, and another off ave d/138....its pretty poppin out there...The 5/14 is packed w/ commuters...as is those taking the canyons to avoid it...Santa clarita is a mess, 3 wide left had turn intersections w/ arrow lights!

My parents came to LA after escaping Iran during the revelution, when islam shut down and burned the nice open and creative democracy they had going. Thats after their parents escaped to Iran from the Armenian Genocide. I am lucky to be here, but stuck In L.A. wondering where I belong since.

I got some friends from Jersey, at which point you ask "what exit?" lol

But, anyway, we're two hours ahead of you here. It's a little after two am. Time for me to hit the old hay. I work nights, from 3:30 to midnight. Stay up a short while drinking booze. Then crash. It's that time.

Nice chatting with you man. I like to chat via text. I'll pm you my phone # in case you are the same.

btw, I still have friends in CA. One of them drives, and passes through here once in a while. He even has keys to my pad so he can crash while i'm at work. Would you do that, out there? ;-)
