I was speeding in a truck I was test driving. Got pulled over and got a written warning. This shouldn't affect my insurance right?

your insurance people will never even hear about the warning. ive had about a dozen warnings in the short years ive been driving and never had my insurance go up because of it. :icon_thumby:

Cool. It was actually kind of scary seeing the lights behind me. I think this was a wake up call for me. :dunno:

Try being in a stolen car sitting in the backseat at night... Lol safe to say, ill never ride along with them anymore... Cop was nice and let us go because we said we didnt know he stole the car. Young and VERY stupid... glad i got out of that scene :nono:

meh, it happens. ive been pulled over alot (ALOT) and ive only got 1 speeding ticket thats on my record and a reckless driving that i got expunged when i was 16. its all about respect, if you talk to the officer in a respectful manner, tell the truth and admit you were wrong or its an extreme circumstance theyll usually let you off with a warning.

the only reason i got the speeding ticket was cause she (we call her iron tits lol) really had to, i was doing 15 over and she had a new officer with her. i acted respectful like usual and she only wrote me down for doing 35 in a 30. when i was really doing 45 in a 30 lol.

I was doing 50 in a 35, this was on a country road. Lucky he clocked me at that, I was doing about 70 at one point. He asked me if I also had been drinking, must have been the fact that I was nervous as **** and probably sounded like I had some to drink. To be fair, I was drinking before I got in the truck. I was drinking orange soda! :icon_rofl:

Ah, the joys of being pulled over for the first time. I remember mine like it was yesterday.....but it was almost 20 years ago. I was in my Subaru and I went through a light that turned red while I was in the intersection (aka an orange light) and there was a UHP Trooper in a Mustang waiting to go. That guy was on my ass in a big hurry! Luckily I got a verbal warning was all. This ordeal actually played a part in my decision to buy a Mustang - the next month I bought my first Mustang (85 GT).

Ha. Awesome.

the truck looks nice, but it has a quite amount of miles on it.

Yeah. But my current truck has 214k. I'll take anything under 200k. And plus these trucks will run for ever. There is plenty of people here that probably over that 200k mark. But you probably already know that RSH. :icon_thumby:

This was the truck I was test driving. Concerning the truck however, the guy will let me buy it for $2200 cash, should I?

Mine is a 96 XLT 4X4 with an auto. It had 107,000 on it when I bought it and I paid $2700 for it. I think you're in the ballpark, but I'd try to wiggle some more out of the guy - like tell him you'll go $2,000. The guy was asking $3500 for mine, so I got him down 800 dollars.

This is just after I bought it:

Wow you guys are lucky. I got pulled over for the first time in December, the cop did not hesitate to give me a ticket.

I already tried asking for $2000 cash. He told me that he has gotten quite a few offers with that number. I asked him how low he would sell it for, and he said $2300. Then I told him $2200 and he agreed, after a few moments of though. But here's the funny thing about it, he told me that he bought it at 5 Star Sales out in Mondovi. Then lines started to connect. I had seen a craiglist ad from 5 Star Sales listing a black Ranger with about the same miles as this one, and had the same engine, transmission, and power options. They, I believe, were selling it for $2500 around June of last summer. So this was the same truck I was drooling over last summer and may have a chance to buy it. That's why I settled on $2200. Otherwise, I'd still be looking. And plus, it sounded like he had put a little bit of work into it after he bought it.
