Got a car!

Those were kind of rare. Most had the flip out center seat with the console on the bottom of it.

That doesnt look bad, just a good cleanup, a good waxing and you are good to go. That body design looks kinda nice to me. better than the bubble ones lol

don't believe i have ever seen a 2nd gen with a floor shifter

My 95 did .... infact I have not seen a second gen 3.8L that did not have a console shifter.

you are thinking 3rd gen, kind of want to put that seat set up in my 95 but they are kind of flimsy and uncomfortable.

Well its here, just delivered 30 minutes ago by a truck and trailer, has little to no brakes (a leak on the rear lines), needs tires, a decent cleanup (mcdonalds from 2008 is in this car), a very fine touch with a large sponge (the interior is sticky with old grease and such) and some of the downsides are that its a 95 taurus, not a ranger, drivers side speaker doesnt work (can be fixed), the radio doesnt even have a cassette player, and it needs a serious greasing.

Also ITS A FLEET MODEL! if that means anything....

Well, it needs plugs, oil change, oil filter, brake lines, brake fluid, steering fluid, speaker work, paint job, push bar, new grill, plastic interior covers, a new radio, and some offroad lamps, roof rack, offroad tires, wait... trailing off again...

sounds like you need a new car....eh, TRUCK. :D or a Subie!

Well, I cleaned it out (completely, every cushion removed and cleaned), now it needs a steam cleaning, but anywho, I removed the ugly hub caps and washed it down, it still looks like crap, I might either paint it as a retired police cruiser (for the hell of it), or orange with a black strip going around the car in the middle about 6" wide, (than buy the stock alloy wheels for it and shine them up).

That should raise the value of it a little, and the interior is going to be completely cleaned down to every fiber, and finished with a lemon scent, I like lemons....

and I might do that push bar, I have the right metal for it lol

over all, I am going to limit my budget to get the car road legal down to $350. I want to bring the total amount invested in the car just under $1000 and see if I can resell it for $1200, but Ill drive it in the meantime.

Dont waste your money on it.... clean it up, fix whatever needs to be fixed, and drive it as is.

The only money Id be wasting is on a couple cans of paint and $50 in alloy rims, so maybe $80, and I have the metal to make the push bar, so thats free. Of the $350, about $300 of it will be the brake line work

Buy the rims, they may not add much value, but they wont hurt. Forget about the push bar and rattle can paint job. It will have NO value after a hack job.
