Got 4WD??

compound setups are far from ideal on a gasser....

Yeah I'm not fond of compound turbo setups on any engine under any circumstance...

ooohh ooohh ooohh......i got it.....

put the turbo setup on the lowrider....get the bugs worked out....then put it in SVT....:icon_thumby:

thats prolly one of the best things you can do. my buddy went from maf to map and now he doesn't even need a turbo to drive his car. so if you blow ur turbo you can atleast limp your truck off the trail. so it makes a pretty reliable system. just make sure you can get alittle power without a turbo

:icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:John, you crack me up!! But you do make a good point, its just that the lowrider is 2.3L, not 4.0L...I'll see what I wanna do when the time comes...

Why is that? The current 6.4L diesel runs 3lbs of boost at idle.

Not sure what the advantage is to running two really small turbos on three cylinders instead of a small turbo on 6 cylinders... but I hope it works out for you.

The smaller the turbo, the faster the spool up and the less lag time you have, two small turbos that has the same volumetric discharge as one larger turbo will have a faster spool up and less lag than the single larger turbo, likewise a single turbo that is slightly smaller than optimum size will also spool faster and have less lag...compressor wheel design and pitch angle also affects spool up, lag and boost...and I will have one turbo for per 3 cylinders...the turbo I have is underrated for a 2.0L, which is half of the 4.0L I have now, quite a few people that have the same setup I plan to use say it will be a good setup and work good for my application, which is why I am definitely considering it...

id like for you to get svt fixed so we can go wheeling!

it's kinda like the t3/t4 it spools faster with the t3 hot side but moves the t4 amount of air through the intake? maybe, still working on turbo workings

Great news, as of about 520 SVT is rolling again and has 4WD:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:Next up, tranny swap:annoyed:
