My 4.0 came stock with 4.10's is that in your owners manual that you have 3.27's? that seems like the 4.0 would struggle as well with 35's a lot of mass to get rolling.
auto,it does have 3.27's, ive checked the axle code (91 i think it was) and the number on the front axle. its really hasnt been to bad getting it going at all
When you can afford to, look into a gear swap min-4.56, pref-4.88/5.13. It'll make the truck much more responsive, it'll be a lot funner to drive and it'll be a lot easier on drive train parts.
in december im going to buy a newer 4x4 ranger and when i get that im just going to build this one into a trail rig and gear it then. i was thinking about putting 4.88's and front and rear. i have a weak trans(slips a lil) so that'll be the first to be looked at. this summer im going to put a 3in body and maybe this summer a 6in lift also with new 35's
