Went to the JY today and found some springs and shocks off a 89 F150 got em off and got the drivers side on. Need some opinions. Should I cut the spring and lower it a bit, and if I do will that help the camber at all?:icon_confused:

What do you think? Is it too much and should I cut the springs a little. or just get it lined up? And if I have it lined up can they fix that? Thanks:icon_thumby:

They make some adjustable bushings for the camber, but I think that's too bad to correct with just some alignment bushings, you might have to lower the axle pivots some to get it to line up.

I hate the thoughts of cutting springs.... that can create more problems down the road.

Yeah, I know. I just got them on. I don't want to cut them. What is lower the axle pivots? How would I go about doing that, or can I do it or does it have to be done by an alignment place? Thanks

They make adjustable camber bushings for the alignment, but if you went much over 2-inches in lift you'll need drop brackets for the suspension to get it to align right.

Did you roll it forwards and backwards after you lowered the jack? The TTB will settle down some once rolled, giving you a better look at the ACTUAL camber angle.

No, but I will tomorrow when I get the other side on. It's got the stock wheel on the other side front, then I put the new wheel on it just to see if having the other 3 tires on made any difference, and it looked like if turned it, it would still scrub on that side. I excited to have them on, but I don't want to mess up my new tires with bad alignment, I hope I can fix it, cause it would be a huge PITA to swap it all back now! I don't think I went over 2". I just used the F150 springs off a 89, With not perch.
