goodyear wrangler radial

where are you guys finding these futura dakotas for 50 to60 bucks. they were way more where i found them.:annoyed:
thanks

I haven't had any luck with Goodyear for truck tires. Actually, they sucked on cars too. I have run a few different things. I highly recommend Toyo Open Country AT's if you want a street tire that can handle some off road fun. They can be found cheap enough. If you want a tire with less mileage but beter off-road manners look to the Cooper STT's.

Cooper STTs all the way! *LT31x10.5R15*:icon_thumby:

My truck had *235/75R15* Goodyear Wrangler RT/Ss on it. The sidewalls are paper thin. Everytime I took my truck down the trails with the Goodyears I came out with my spare on. I took mine off with less than 1,500mi on them.

Go with the Goodyears, just bring a jack with you.

As for the Futura's... Why would you spend only $50 on the only part of your truck that touches the road. Unless going, stopping and turning aren't a concern for you.

thats your problem you had RT/S's on your truck....biggest pile of worthless rubber ever made and i work for goodyear

the futura's work, thats why. and at nearly 1/2 the cost of a b.f.g., its well worth it. tire prices may have gone up since i got my set 2 years ago, but thats about what they were then. i agree on the rt/s from good year. i had a set of them before the futura's and they could have been drag slicks for all the winter traction they offered.

got back from the sand dunes here in Michigan, the Wrangler Radials worked awesome, gave me plenty of traction in the sand. Was impressed.

nice pics cheapthrillb2 ive heard some good reports about the wrangler radials in sand but not so good in mud and thats the thing in FL we have tons of sugar sand which turnds to mud when it rains. thats why im kinda tossed up between the tredwrights which will be good in mud and the wranglers which are good in sand. im guesing not but would the treadwrights be good in sand or atleast decent
thanks

Goodyear makes different Wranglers. If your talking about the old-style original Wrangler radial, I got a free set on my first Ranger after the Firestone tire recall. I thought they were a decent all-around tire but the treadlife was nothing to write home about. Awesome in snow though. If your driving will be mostly off-road, you can get something better.

They didn't have anything to do on that hill. You had momentum and the tires are clearly not being asked to do much.

your right, type of tire has nothing to do with how well a truck can perform in the loose sand
