Edelbrocks run OK, as long as you don't mind having less power than a Holley combined with soggy throttle response. If you didn't want more power why'd you put a 4 barrel on it? The Holley on my Mustang came from Summit in 1993, I've tweaked it as I've modified the engine, the only "failure" was a plugged air bleed once that I fixed with a squirt of carb clean.
Throttle response seems fine as does power. Runs good on rough trails, off camber and gets pretty respectable mpg on the highway.
I got the Edelbrock in 2011 because it was like $200 cheaper than a truck avenger when I did the V8 swap and it hasn't given me a reason to shop for anything else since. I am not opposed to going EFI at some point but that is EFI vs carb reasons not Carb A vs Carb B reasons.
