this entire argument started b/c i said i thought it was a bit of a conflict of interest that our commander in chief was the same religion as our enemy.

I'm not saying that we don't. I'm quite willing to admit that it has and does happen. The big difference is that its not our Holy Book telling us to.


Also I never once said that I hate Muslims. I've know a few, two were hardliners, and scared the crap out of me. The other two admitted that they were fairly lax followers and were pretty cool guys. We'd hang around between classes, eat lunch, played Halo a few times.

Quite the contrary to me hating Muslims, I feel sorry that so many have allowed themselves to be led so far astray. Ever hear "Hate the sin, love the sinner"? Same principle applies here.

i agree 100% with you on that. i used to work at an autozone in real sketchy area of raleigh that stayed open til 12AM. saw a lot 'neat' people in my time there. but none of them came in and tried the blow the store up or threatened me b/c of my beliefs and my way of life.

Couldn't agree more, opinion without fact is still opinion, you tell me what page I can turn to to read where it directs the muslims to kill and I'll believe you. I'm not disagreeing with the points of view but spouting what the talking heads on fox news tell you to is not a fact in my book.

my point is, why is hating somebody for being a muslim different for hating somebody for being black? how about hating somebody for being a jew? Hindu? Krishna?

It's very easy to hate a religion or the actions of a few. if christian fundamentalists flew planes into the WTC towers what would your reaction be?

I see very many people who hate things but have no real idea why, other than someone told them to hate that specific thing. It makes those people seem uneducated and quite ignorant. I don't know enough about the specifics of many of the goings on in the world to form an opinion, which would make it quite easy for someone to fill my head with misinformation about it, if I wanted to hear possible rumor and other garbage.
I watch very little news because I end up yelling at the TV and it stresses me out. Be very skeptical of anything you hear or see, unless you saw it unfold right in front of you with your own two eyes. EVERY news agency has an agenda, and in most cases are owned by large corporations that stand to gain or lose on some of the news they report. I'm starting to rant so I'm going to stop before I start making even less sense.

Fact: Muslim religion believe sitting down to crap is dirty. The reason why those bastards left muddy footprints in our friggin porta potties and broke half the seats. The reason why our shower got crapped in. They wipe their ass with bare hands and water then without washing hands immediately pour water onto their hands and wash their face.
