good hose to use for power steering?

thought so. thanks again, now i just gotta wait till saturday :(

any possibility that the nipple on the resevoir itself is cracked and the fluid is running out of the crack, onto the hose, and then dripping at that connection? just seems that if a squeeze clamp is sufficient from the factory then 2 screw clamps should be tighter than a fishes asshole.

In his illustration he circled the connection between the metal pipe and the rubber hose. Are you thinking it might be leaking up top and following the hose down?

that would make sense, but i dont think thats the problem. ill get the new line anyways, for the sake of 20 bucks, and if it still leaks ill look in to the resivoir but i dont think thats it.

You might look really closely at the metal "hose" at the joint you're putting your hose clamps on. I've had those kind of lines with a hairline split along it's axis.

this^. i had a buddy turn the wheels hard back and forth some some pressure came on it after i cleaned it all up really good and i found a small pin hole in the steel hose, so i cut off a shit load of it and added alot more rubber hose and it works perfect and dont leak a drop. took her out for her first sensible ride after got that fixed and she hauled ass up to 5th, better than any other 2.9s i had and kicks my 3.0s ass!.. and i love the short wheel base, i done a couple donuts in a very tight space where the ranger would never think about doing. and i never checked the door code but im pretty sure shes l/s, shes posi almost all the time.. love it!
