GMC fuel pump replacement

easiest way to check is to jumper 12v to the fuel pump CHECK wire, then try to start/listen for pump.

Great news! I don't have to follow the GMC in the ranger picking up parts as they fall off cause now there's a shiny new 09 crew cab GMC 1500 SLE 2wd sitting in the driveway. So now there's just the ranger to work on! The girlfriend got one for christmas gotta admit that thing is SWEET! 5.3 with cylinder deactivation, power everything, XM, onstar, that thing is gnarly for a GMC. I admit I'm scared for when that thing gets up to the age and miles of the 97 cause it's got so many electronic gizmos that'll no doubt go on the fritz! But for now man am I jealous I want a new truck lol. Cause right now the ranger's down for the count. The tranny's gone and i can't find a new one for under $500(a junk yard trans for $500 geez) speaking of does anybody know if an M5OD-R1 from say a 2.9 has the same bellhousing or do I have to find one for a 2.3L?
