glass pack?

how does a 4.0 ranger sound with a cherrybomb glasspack. does it sound good, or does it sound like the little import cars fartin around town?

Youtube, thats about all i can say lol some people like the sound, others dont. if your looking for a cheap muffler, they cant be beat

i had a cherry bomb on a 3.8l and it sounded mean, now on my 2.3l....


yeah it sounds like an agitated weed-wacker

Just cut the muffler off and run some pipe after the cat out in front of the rear wheel...thats what I did on my old 4.0...sounded pretty mean....it was killer loud though.

i just whacked my muffler off. sounded sorta like a subi wrx i always pissed ricers off was a bit loud on the highway but i had subs to drown it out

My 88 2.9 sounds good with the cherrybomb and no cats, my honda is much louder.... the bronco II sounds like it has balls..... the honda sounds like a pissed off bee.
JUST BE SURE TO WELD IT ON THE RIGHT WAY!!!

ive got a thrush ....it works great, my 3.0 sounds like a little v8

sounds good, maybe ill give it a try. but i cant just cut off the muffler, its illegal where i live. so im gonna try the glasspack with runnin the pipe out in front of the rear wheel.

My truck came with a glass pack muffler on it, its the little short one.

under 3 grand is dose not sound bad,and really not very loud. about 3 grand it gos from sorta deep type tone, to weed wackerish an gets a tad loud when on the gas.

if I drop a gear sorta hard, say from 2500 and its jumps to 3500 and Im using the motor to brake with, it sound's a bit coffe canish.


oh yeah, my truck is a 91 w. 4.0

I don't really care for glasspacks on most engines. A 40 series sounds OK on a 4.0 but not nearly as good as it did on my old 2.9. I plan on swapping it for an Aero Turbine 2525.
