WTF, is with everyone bashing the GM V6's? I own a 3.1 v6 5spd Beretta and have had absolutely no problems with it engine wise since I bought it. Only thing it needed was a waterpump and a coolant temp sensor. I've had the car for over 8 years. Your problem sounds similar to when I had a bad coolant sensor. On cold days it started up and ran horrible til it warmed up. It mounted in the lower intake manifold right below the throttle body. Ignition coils are known to fail and are something to look into having tested.


BTW, My buddies '89 5.0 GT has seen Beretta taillights on more then one occasion.

Wow, a 2.8 that has IS STILL RUNNING! We are just bashing the 2.8 V6, it's the worst motor chevy ever made.

IMO my sister had a '87 Z-24 (ya a pathetic RIP OFF OF A Z-28) all the wires and controls on the motor "looked cool" but we realized how junky this motor was! We bought it cheap with a blown motor, found a 2.8 out of a eurosport, put it in, used the cavalier's top end components, What a POS.

The only "cool" thing was it had a digital dash, which I've heard is very expensive to replace!

As to the girlfreind bitching problem, some good old fashion sex should solve that.
