so Im just about to buy a giant 64" leaf kit off a guy for my ranger and was wonderin if anyone on here has one and how much you like it?

You mean the Chevy 63s? Yeah sure, many have done them. They're crazy flexy.

na, Giant Motorsports has a 64" leaf kit that allows you to pull 21"s of travel oout of the rear end. its geared more toward fast off roading, jumping, and racing.

The actual leaf pack is made by Deaver, I've never actually had the setup but I've heard nothing but good things from people who do run them. I assume you'll be running some sort of bed cage/repositioned shock mounts, also properly valved shocks are pretty important with that much travel cycling so you don't bounce around or slosh the rear end and bottom out.

Do you have any pics of your 84 Ranger on here? I like seeing the Gen. 1 trucks done out as prerunners. Im doing a mild prerunner build on my 87 4x4, and I mean mild lol since Im a college student.

oh yes, ill be puttin 16" fox triple bypass shock on her and building a bed cage that will eventually tie into my cab cage when i get to that point. I have been racing desert for the pass three years, 2 in a rhino and 1 on a bike so ive gotten pretty good at valving and such as i learned all that on my own.

I do have a build thread on here, http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21854
lots of picks too. Im keepin it with the old skool look (not alot out there with that look) and am in college too. nice to have a good payin job with low hours during the week lol but its been a relativly cheap build since i am doin it all myself and have the shop to do it in.

never ran the link killer kit, but every thing I have seen on it, WOW! for leafs on a ranger. I know there is a 10 min or so video of a truck running the kit. I rember watching it awhile back.....might as on the drama rangers or RDC

I was reading around on shocks last night. the link killer set up, has a special bypass shock thats specd out by giant. its a 2.5inch body but with the tubes off a 3inch shock and the last tubed is placed in a certain area.

PM geoff over on RDC, he is pretty helpfull guy.and you can get the shock info right from the horse....

yeah I mostly do reading on RDC, post here and there.

geoff's, s/n Giant Geoff
