Getting ready to go gold mining and camping. Just got my camper shell and tow hitch. Going to have a lot of fun.

Looking to go above Auburn/Cofax/Foresthill. Can't wait for this weekend the temp is to be around 80 deg. Fun Fun Fun.

Maybe a little gold metal detecting and panning. For sure peace of mind.

Tomorrow 5/4/11 I will be headed up to the mountains around Auburn/Cofax area to go camping. Got my camper ready and a nice bed built inside, got my fishing license, and my metal detectors and gold mining equipment along with a nice camera.

Just want to get away for the head.

Not yet. Still looking for a place to prospect. The Auburn Recreational District has limited places you can access the river at. One place named the Rucky Chucky looks good, but the day use is $10 and camping is $25, but it is a good location. Otherwise I have to wait until the snow melts. The Tahoe National Forest is not open to off road travel.

Anyone know of any good river access in Placer, El Dorado, or Sierra counties of California.
