I was thinking of going from a 225/70 to a 235/70, i have a 2.5 lima with a 5 speed, will the tire change turn it into a dog?

also, what is a very good tire for it? it's 2 wheel drive, but i'm not against the look that the ATs give me, and they seem to do good in the rain.

also, would 235/75/15 be too big for a lima 2.5 to push around? i've got 3.73 gears

my '04 came stock with 225/70/15's. I jumped up to a 235/70/15 good year wrangler and am pleased with the results I've had personally. i noticed a slight loss of power with 3.55's the truck has the 2.3 5 speed but it's not horrible and it's just on hills pulling my trailer and such. i plan on going to a 31/10.5/15 and will defendant change to 4.10's when i do..

I would go with a 235/75R15 as it is a super common size and shouldn't affect the power too much especially with a 5 speed.

Tires depends on where you live, what your normal driving conditions are (what roads you drive on, weather... ect), what you expect out of a tire.

i went from 225/70r15 to 235/75r15 with a little mileage loss, only because i have the 3.55's. but my 4.slow makes up for it in brutal gut wrenching torque. :) if you have limited slip, get bfg at ko's. you WILL go anywhere you want. even with just a 2wd.

let me put it this way, i can get places, my buddy with serious mud tires has to put it in 4 by to go. now if its an open rear end, you either need a locker, or some big rims cus you cant offroad stock.
