You need to consider the centerline of the current wheel being lower than that of the 33 just standing next to the truck.

For whatever it's worth. My ranger has a 3 inch body lift and I fit 33s just fine.

yours is a 98 & his is a 86 big difference in body style & wheel well opening. Mine is a 94 with 03 front sheet metal & I fit 33s with out a body lift needed, but I have a 5.5 suspension lift & only had to trim 1.5" from back edge of front bumper. Now bumper has been replaced with a bronco ll custom stinger bar bumper.
