Those trucks will never see the road again. It is illegal to re-register them. You can strip all the parts off them, but the bodies must be crushed and the engines must be destroyed. Anything else is fair game. I'm 150% positive on this.

yes 100% right my buddys dad bought well over 250 of them they have to be crushed with the motor with in 6 months... im pissed cuz i had my chance to get my hands on a 93 cobra but was told you cant get any parts from it...

I work for a local body shop that is owned by a dealership that ran the cash for clunkers campaign. To my knowlegde the engines were frose before leaving the property with liquid glass then all the fluids were drained and drove the the back lot to be hauled off to the junkyards.

I don't think a draft is going to happen but I do think that Obama is a danger to this country.

cash for clunkers stupid to begin with but u can get them titled and all because the government never finished paying the dealers back so the dealers sell em cheap gotta make sumtin back though the law may differ state to state i know this is the case in Florida idk green way ford in Orlando was selling them so are other dealers

i work at a used car dealer and my boss hauls cash for clunkers from dealer to the junk yard.they sell him cash for clunkers cars.some run most dont though.and we take parts off them or sell the running ones over seas.

not true ,there are ways to get your hands on these vehicles you just have to know the right people at the right junkyard.

I'm curious, and I've not seen this in the media at all, what are the rules regarding the C4C vehicles that the Gooberment stiffed the car dealers on? Are they still held to the "rules" of C4C?

the local yards here have dozens of bronco 2s, rangers, exploreres, jeeps etc.. they will sell any part i need except the body tub. the engine or trans if you want, why with the garbage they put in it though... the rest of the body and the frame if you like but sold only as a frame for repair/replacement and without title, reciept only, you get to deal with revining it...
