General engine diagnostic question

43177

It sounds like a failed gasket or a cracked cylinder head.

Convert it to a mobile storage shed.

I saw an episode of Junkyard Wars where the guy scored an Audi A8 that was smoking so bad the seller thought it was a blown motor, turned out to be the pcv system, which is way more complicated on those things than rangers.

Maybe bad valve guides/seals/retainers?

I would try snake oil before throwing the for sale sign on it, sometimes it helps....Marvel Mystery oil, Lucas stuff for oil and fuel, maybe so seafoam in both as well....at this point **** it why not...

5 bucks says he's talking about his lawnmower...

Sounds more like a 4.0L SOHC that jumped timing and has a blown head gasket.

Maybe, but PJ is usually the one answering these questions, not asking them....So he might just be fooling around for shits and giggles, or its a riddle.
