gen 1 swap/snorkel/roof lights

Those snorkels are cool looking until you put the side of your truck into a tree and break it off. Better to use PVC that is cheap and easy to replace.

I agree with it blocking your field of view...I would definitely make it shorter or relocate it. I can see you getting pulled over for it.

did i forget to mention i was 14 and this is no way lisenceable? haha

If you just want it to look like a hoodstack, and not seal.

I'd weld a stove pipe sized stack (facing backwards to not catch water) to the hood, then youd have to brace the hood so it didn't just flop and dent the hood (please if you do this, do it tastefully, and clean looking, at least on the bottom of the hood)

That's the simplest method.
They make hood stack sealer kits where the top of the stack is seperate from the exhaust they meet using a rubber/plastic taper gasket (that is narrowed to seal)

but on an intake you must have a good dust/debri barrier that won't fail (only drawback on options, really)

I agree with that. First gens are mean looking I love a first gen front end

And BTW to laugh is mean bro it's his truck and he's wrenching on it. Isn't that what it's all about?.he can do what he wants.

I kid because I love:icon_cheers:.

That's gonna be hell for muddin. Make sure you get a cover on it before you do any.

Actually, even a light rain could potentially kill your truck.

Anyway, I didn't think I'd like the first gen swap but it looks kind of good. Needs some white paint to match the back though.

OH AND FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT... since you didn't include the support from the 1st gen, buy some offroad lights, get some scrap tin, and do a round headlight conversion. :icon_thumby:

Its not what I would have done, but at least you tried something different. Kinda like the fact that you cut that big hole in your hood with no abandon. Its redneck but it should work for wheeling.

dude you should rig it up so it splits and then run two filters out the top of the hood 18 inchs apart like some mean derby stacks but snorkels. O snap that'd be so sick! I want a 4x4 now!

Generation doesnt matter, my pants get a little tight everytime I see a built up RBV.
