how would a 5.13 gear and a 31 inch tire hold up? the reason asked is because the gf wont let me get my 35's until my current tires wear down some being that they are new. ive got the 2.9 a4ld combo. what do you guys think? will it be highway capable?do you think id be able to go 60 mph?

5.13's are about perfect for 35's and a 2.9...but with 31's its gonna suck especially on the Highway...why not just wait to regear when u get the 35's?

Can it be done? sure....

Are you gonna like it? No....

Your gonna be spinning a lot of RPM on the hwy(2850-3200), but it's doable. The 5.13's should make quick work of the 31's though, so take video and burn'm til they pop and then get 35's!

5.13s turn my 35s with a 4.0... I don't think you'd enjoy them with 31s. Why not wait or sell the 31s?

haha its the gf she wont let me get new tires cuz i just bought the 31's and if i burnt them up in a month then she would know i sabotaged them haha. so i was trying to stay goal oriented with the gears cuz thats the next upgrade i wanted. But im very impatient so i kno if i dont do the gears now itll be a diff. project like the chop top or sound system. all of which are around the same price range of about 2500 per project.
