ok i am running 31 on a stock rear..ive got the 4banger 2.5..and when i am in mudd trying to cut them loose..i can break them loose in first but when i shift to second i start to bogg down and not have enough power to keep it going...is there something i can do so i can get more power for second gear..should i get different gears for the rear???and if so where can i get them at and what would be best???

4.10s would be good, 4.56 would be even better.

Yes you can get lower gears than Factory. 4.56 is available for the 7.5. 4.10 is the lowest available from the factory. If you swap to an 8.8, 5.13 gears are available aftermarket.

where could i get a 8.8 from, and where could i order the gears at..
what is the factory specs on the rear for a 99 ranger 2.5 4x2, just curious???

A Ranger with a 4.0 would have a bolt in 8.8 for you. There were different gears available on your truck, there is a code in the doorjamb sticker.

so i could pull the rear end off a same year ranger and it would bolt up to my ranger...would there be any fab work?and i could just get one from a junkyard
