Il try and keep this short and sweet compared to the essay I pre wrote when I intend to put it back on marketplace/Craigslist. My poor lady’s’ timing chain cracked and threw her off time, thus warping a cylinder (or possibly two) I tried like hell to even find a motor to throw in but I am too old, too tired and too poor to go any further. I listed it in Marketplace and got over a hundred responses in about an hour. I freaked out for many reasons; I know I listed it too low, many of of them were just scams, I forgot to account for newish tires ( was planning on taking them off before selling, not anymore) and came to realization that I would finally have to say goodbye to her. The tranny was rebuilt in ‘21 and the set of Wildpeaks have under 3k miles on them. I used to be an avid reader/commenter years ago but came here for some honest opinions as I have no one else.

I had it listed for 1,000 $ and am wondering If I can get 2k for it. Please be kind….

You had it listed for $1,000 and it didn't sell

So now you're asking $2,000 ?

It was a rough estimate and I was planning removing the tires to sell separately but that’s not worth it at this point. Not saying the tires are worth 1k but I feel that it’s worth far more than 1,000. Probably not much more but I need to come to terms that my intrinsic value I have emotionaly placed on it is worth NOTHING. I’m curious what it would be worth to avid Ranger fans that have bought/sold recent trucks like it for an engine swap. Also, it didn’t not sell. I removed the listing after getting 100+ inquires about it in 20 minutes

It's gonna be worth what someone will pay for it. 15 years living in the rust belt doesn't increase the ask price either. A rebuild on a transmission means about zero with an engine that doesn't move it.

A grand isn't bad if it isn't rusted out. You may get a little more but it's gonna take someone that has an engine and can do the work themselves. Sadly those folks are frugal and done really want to pay much for it.

I'd think in your area you could get 2k with those tires and wheels included. If someone just wanted parts or to part it out, it would be worth it. If you had all those offers at 1k then I'd relist for 2500 and accept the first 2k offer. I'd be interested if I had the time and space.

Thanks for your input. I was thinking at listing @2k and just sticking firm at that but bumping a bit and then taking a BO is probably best. I’d MUCH rather sell it to someone on here but at this point I really just need to move on from her.

Why not just put a motor in it?

Body looks pretty clean....itd be worth it

Hi Doug. Texted you a couple times haven't heard anything back. Was wondering how many miles are on it? I'm interested
