gauge faces?!? help???!!!

i bought a nice pair of guage faces for my 1993 ranger, i went to install them and got em in and everything but my gauge needles would get caught on them and they wouldn't move. how do i get them closer or fix the problem?

what are they hanging up on? Maybe the hole is the wrong size - make it bigger. I put some on my 95 and had no problems they were from NR Auto . . .
