Are the green lights on the gauge cluster that come on when the lights are on caused by the bulbs or overlay...i just got a new sony headunit with red led's and want to change the color of the gauge without spending lots of money...

Bulbs I think. A member on here made them red if I'm not mistaken.

No clue as to who it was.

alright thanks cause i pulled the bulb out but its clear... i want them red so bad...

It's clear? It might be a color on the actual cover, meaning it would be an overlay.

If you can, get a 9volt battery and test it. Don't hold it on too long though, a lot of LED bulbs don't have resistors built in and 9volts is a lot of power for one, depending on the current. What does the bulb look like?

A picture would be nice if possible, I want to do a bulb swap as well.

The color is in the cluster itself....all the bulbs are normal "clear" bulbs.

there's a green film i think. Look at the other posts about LED swaps and some people scrape off the film but others leave it alone.

its a green overlay in the cluster interior, i replaced the bulbs once, and noticed that
