Gas tank question

I have a 4x4 1990 STX, it's ext. cab 4.0 with a auto trans. I'm pulling the motor, tranny and t-case to put it in a 2wd 1993 single cab and doing a SAS. I need to know if the sending unit in my STX will fit into the single cab. Or if I need to order new a sending unit and stuff

worst case just swap the part that goes on the top of the tank, the tanks should be otherwise interchangable

Look up the pump for both trucks on a parts store website. If the part numbers are the same, you are good to go.

ok guys thanks alot, ill have check that stuff out, i went today and picked up the 2wd truck and im gonna start on pulling the motor and starting the SAS hopefully this week

That 2wd truck i picked up today was one i have never seen before

it was a 1993 single cab short wheel base with a 4.0 auto with a 8.8 in the rear, and it had 3.73 gears, im guessing it was a custom order from the factory, i didnt know they made SWB with the 4.0 and a 8.8 and those gears

i almost wanna leave it 2wd and put a v8 down in it and take it to the local drag strip in town
