gas mileage?

ok so i have a 93 3.0l v6 ranger and im gettin a good 15 mpg city, and i accordin to the chart in the tech library, i should be gettin 18, i read the fuel economy section and i have a few q's i have put "marvel oil" in the gas to kinda clean out the engine at stuff, but what about spark plugs? i havent looked at them and i dont know what the diff. would be, any suggestions or anything you have done to get better mpg??

15 is pretty common out of a 3.0, is it an auto or manual? either way, try to keep it around 3000RPM while cruising.

When I got my truck I was getting around 15 in the city. Once I threw on a drop in k&n, filled all tires to the proper psi and let up on the skinny a little bit it jumped to an avg of 18.

15 is common. A good tune up might get to that 18 mark. Gears will help a little on the streets, but you will suffur on the highway.

As for tune up, consider these:
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
Coil
Cap and Rotor (distributor)
Fuel Injectors cleaned and flowed
Air filter
Fuel Filter
Engine Oil change
Oil filter change
Flush the radiator fluid
Change the Tranny fluid
Change the Tranny Filter
Clean the MAF
Run Seafoam through a vaccum line
Balance and Rotate tires

This will help you get those numbers

alright, i was gong to try that seafoam too, and my tires havent been rotated in a while, and i have only had the truck for 2 months, so im gong to try as many of the things on ur list there anthony.
