E85's high octane level allows you to run higher compression therefore making more horsepower. somewhere in the range of 12:1 or 14:1 if memory serves me.
Yes but you can't run those compression ratios on flex fuel engines because pump grade gas cant handle it.
Please read some of my previous posts. That statement is incorrect.
No it is not. BTUs is BTUs, the same engine will have less power and fuel economy when running E85.
