After some digging it seems it requires some chemical soup as an additive that only the manufacturer can sell you AND it uses quite a bit of electricity.

one of the main principles of physics and engineering. You cannot get free energy/ power. and a correlation to that is, whatever power/ energy you put into creating fuel, the output of that fuel will be less than what was put into it. This principle applies to perpetual motion machines as well. We are getting much more advanced to where the efficiency is much higher (rate of power used to create vs rate of power it puts out) but I believe that ICE powered vehicles are in the 30 percent efficiency range.
