Funniest Repair Orders you've seen?

Got two more today.

Customer states trailer brake controller does not work.

Trailer brake controller was not installed. He saw the packet with the wire harness in the door pocket and assumed that it was the whole thing. Still doesn't mean that its gonna work since it was in a plastic bag in the door pocket.

Customer requests tire rotation

Customer states " Do not damage my wheels".

Its like they think we go around damaging them on purpose.

The other day I had a customer tell me to "Speak English, boy" after I used the word "preventative"

You should have promptly responded with "Sir, English is your first language. May I suggest you go learn it?"

If only I were born with such eloquence...

Eh, that's an adaptation of something I used to say to my wife when we first started dating. I wouldn't have come up with that on the spot.

I was handed this a few days ago.
"Cust. states vibration at 125mph"

I returned to the desk and said there is no way im going 125 in a honda accord. Customer then replied come with me i'll show you what i mean on the highway. Long story short he left very angry and my boss is pissed.

I'm with you......total agreement on the "no way" decision! Instead of looking at the speedometer at that speed, he'd better watch the road.....stuff happens real fast at that speed, vibration or no vibration.

I think if anybody ever called me 'boy' in that tone, they'd be eating through a straw for a while.

That's probably why it was vibrating, he was doing 125 in a Honda Accord. Those aren't meant for high speeds.

I'm even surprised he got it up that far.

My Integra used to do 125 with no vibrations. It did take a little bit to get up there though.

Funny thing, when I bought it there was a governor for 105-110mph, I can't remember exactly. After I had it about a year and a half it just didn't work anymore. At one point I had it going 135mph on a slight downgrade on the highway and still no vibrations.

For the record, no, I do NOT drive like that anymore.

I used to have a '77 Toyota Celica that would run 125 easy. Loved that car, it was the GT model, the one that kinda looked like a tiny fastback Mustang from the rear. Pissed one new Camaro driver off one day....outran him on both corners and straights on a nice, curvy road.

On the spot or not, that's friggin funny.

Why thank you. :D

I had one today that was scary more than funny.

C/S vibration/shudder above 50 MPH

C/S Clunk noise when pulling out.

I did not drive it on the roads because of the weather, but I was able to verify the clunk just pulling it around the lot. Got it on the lift and started pounding on things in the back when I noticed something wedged under the leaf stack on the passenger side.

Upon closer inspection I realized that the taper shims that set the drive line angle at the rear, one was broken, one was missing, and the U-bolts were letting the axle just flop around because they were loose. I took the remaining portion of the one out and tightened the bolts up. Still haven't driven it. Kinda scared to because it's a 6.0 and I had to put an injector in it too. Gonna have to get aggressive.

lol i got one today!

guys name read "Krueger, Fred" and he's older than the movie.

me and my coworkers got a laugh
