To add to the AZ stories, I had a CUCV Blazer, horrible waste of money and I no longer have it. Well I here about how you can rig up the glowplugs with a ford solenoid, I think easy day. So I head to AZ and while waiting in line I over hear the guy in front of me. He complains how he's replaced the entire intake with new parts. I chime in asking what happens. He says the car turns on but when you give it gas it dies. The cashier butts in asking if he had replaced the carb. I talk over the cashier and ask if the guy replaced his fuel filter. The guy hadn't, it was a $15 filter after buying a few hundred in "recommended" parts. So now its my turn
Cashier:what year?
Me: it doesn't matter
Cashier: ok....what model is the vehicle
Me:a blazer but I need a solenoid from any ford vehicle
Cashier: ok so what year blazer
Me: .....no I need a ford solenoid
Cashier: sir is this for a ford or chevy?
Me: ...chevy....no no no its for a Ford
Cashier: ok what year
Me: (at this point I look past him at the shelf) look man which one of your shelves has solenoids on it?
Cashier: the parts are mixed I need to know what vehicle this is going on
Me: have a good day, bye
I drove 5 min to O'Reilly's and told the guy what I wanted. He didn't look anything up, just took a step over to a shelf behind him, peered in a box and handed it to me. "This what you want?"
Took me longer to drive to O'Reilly's than to find the part I wanted. AZ no longer gets my business.
