Funnel rack

all of mine get wiped off and put in a plastic bag that hangs on the wall. i have a rag in the bottom of hte bag in case more stuff comes out after wipe down but its never been a huge problem.

i have a bunch also, i noticed this past weekend. like some i haven't even taken out in years so i could probably downsize my funnel collection

This is the mess I am faced with:

look up Dynalon Drying Racks - just for some ideas. they are pretty expensive, ( they are a lab supply company appearently) but I'm sure you could build something similar

This one sales for about $145.00

My dad has a rack like this one for drying his homebrew bottles. It should work for funnels too. The thing I always struggled with was keeping all the fuzz that apparently floats around my shop off of them.

I like that, I can definitely build some variation of that.

You guys buy funnels? :icon_rofl:

I can never seem to find one when I need it so I’ve used a collection of soda-pop bottles, dry gas bottles, quart bottles with the bottoms cut off to make a funnel. Putting oil in the truck I just use the dipstick trick…

same.
I have a slice in my thumb right now from making a funnel out of a quart of oil last weekend for my D21's bi-annual oil change.

Supposed to keep your fingers away from the blade. I buy good utility knife blades so I make sure to keep anything I don’t want cut away, dad slashed his finger awhile back with one and I had to take him to the hospital because it wouldn’t stop bleeding. Scolded him that he should know better, lol

I keep all my funnels in a plastic tote with a lid. That way every time you need a funnel you know where they are and they stay clean!

I know, I know, and cut away from you, but it was the "seam" and was thicker than the rest of the plastic, once it got through the thick stuff, the blade hopped right on over to the center of my thumb

Cut towards your buddy, not your body.

you guys didn't use enough duck tape. if it keeps bleeding, add more dirty wrags and add electrical tape. it will stop, or your finger will die and fall off so it won't matter.

ha ha ha

I’ll find something to set it on when I have to hack through something thicker and keep everything out of the line of fire. I’d rather risk damaging a blade than slashing myself.
