for those who remember my cab swap project, its currently down to the frame now and all painted up. just need to put on the cab/bed. i had planned to swap in my d35 i got kicking around, but now im thinking of putting in the d44 i got kicking around from a 79 ford. i planned to keep it road legal but we have laws around here for tires stickin out pass the fenders too much and i dont see how its gonna pass inspection like that. but i love havin a straight axle. what do you guys think i should do?

put roll-on fender flares so that it passes inspection.

they actually look pretty coo.

i thought abotu those pacer flexy flares but i doubt they would stick out enough to cover up the tires

GO buy the THICK rubber floor mats, industrial type. Cut them up to stick out as far as you want. Or go with a 10.50 tire just to keep the width down. Or take the axles and have them narrowed. THATGUY has narrowed fullsize axles, PM him he'll give you some tips Im sure.

i was talking to brayD about narrowing them. i might go that route someday with one of my 3 D44s lol but for now im not sure. im leaning towards d35 at the moment. ill keep you all in touch
