Full Width SAS on '90 Danger the 4th

my truck im driving now is 5% all the way around with a eyebrow i was gonna tint my whole windshield 35% but figured i would really get pulled over then.

Thats what I am doing. My dang tint fettish... I usually do 5% all around with a brow on my full size trucks. This time around I am doing the 5% all around and a 35% sheild on my dually. No brow. I dont drive it much and when I do, its either in the country or big cities. No suburbs. I will let you know how it goes.
My daily is 5% on the back 3 and 20% on the fronts. No one has bothered me about that and I drive through Medina daily to pick up my son from daycare. But 20% really isnt that dark lol

Just a little update

Havnt done much with the truck yet. I need to do a few things before the June run. I have been working 60s and I am remodeling my lower level. I need to get it done before my sons 1st bithday on Independence Day. I need to figure out how to squeeze Ranger time in there. Looks like I will be doing some late night wrenching.

I need to replace the drivers shaft and all the front bearings and seals as they are full of mud and water. A friend rented half of my garage for the winter to do a turbo V6 build in his Mustang. Well, its almost May and his motor isnt even built yet! At least his IRS is pretty much in. I am starting to get irritated. I dont really want to take my Ranger apart until he is done because then both of my bays will be locked out.

The truck also has a serious lean to the drivers side. I think my leafs are shot. I am going to put my old ones back in for the June trip.

I drove/wheeled the truck around the property the other day. Ended up breaking my $20 flag :annoyed: I had a bit of white smoke out the exhaust. I hope it was just a fluke from sitting haha. I just need this engine to run for the June run, then I dont care what happens since that will probably be my last trip this year. I am going to change the oil and flush the coolant and see how she does.

Some poser pics with our JK. And yes, I already dented the JK bumper lol

I am also trying to hunt down a new engineering job closer to home. My 95 mile round trip is getting old and expensive. I am not compensated for all my OT at my current job either. The joys of salary haha. I want to find something closer to home so I can spend more time with my son. Hopefully I can find something soon. The only issue I see with changing jobs is that I will have a period with out benfits. Hopefully I can work that into a deal though :)

Hopefully my boss isnt subscribed to this thread

Good luck on finding a new job.

haha. I would say peace out

There are a ton of engineering jobs in Pittsburgh, but that is definitely not any closer for you. Good luck with the hunt. What type of engineer are you?

Same with Cleveland and Akron. TONS of engineering jobs. I just dont live close to big cities. I would rather live in the country and drive a good distance than live in a city.

Are you an engineer?

I have a BSME. Mechanical Engineering. Right now I am a project engineer in the steel industry. I am looking to go more into the desgin side this time. 3D modeling, FEA and stuff like that. There are 2 openings I am chasing down. One would be a 16 mile round trip commute. That would be nice.

LUK is also right around the corner from me. I wouldnt mind working in the automotive industry. I have a few friends there now. Many of the openings there are high stress. So I am waiting for the right one to pop up there.

I know a few engineers at Luk. Both said long hours with no compensation is basically expected.....

Ya, I have a BS in EE and a BA in Math. I work as an automation engineer for a small engineering division of a union electrical contractor. My strength is programming, but those are rare projects. I do a lot of specification for industry. Read specs, picking the components, assembling the project in my mind, and then putting it all on paper so an electrician can actually assemble it. I do work for 2 steel mills and 2 refineries at the moment.

Ya, I have a 14 mile round trip and I go home for lunch and keep my dog company. Just bought a house near the city, but doubled my drive (32 mile round trip). I can't afford to buy a house near my work. Way too pricey :annoyed: I want to move back to country, but my girlfriend works at a hospital and she has to remain within a 30 minute drive. Plus, they are paying for her nursing school and that is near the hospital.
