I too would like to know this... I have the same setup (stock cable) and I am getting only about 3/4 throttle when the gas is at the floor... The throttle cable mod will stiffen up the spring causing the pedal to be more responsive feeling, however I dont think that it will increase the amount of travel that the stock cable is restricted to. I could be wrong but i am interested to know if there is a solution as easy as the cable mod teddy speaks of.
Use zip ties on the pedal end of the cable to remove the slack. Between the pedal and the sheath. It really is that simple. Lifts the dead position of the pedal as well.
