My '89 still has the temporary spare. I want to replace it with a full-sized wheel and tire. Will it fit inside the back? I don't have the external spare carrier.

How big are your tires? Full size is a pretty vague term which could mean anywhere from 28-35"

I don't think you can get the full size spare in the inside carrier, I'm not sure though.

Take a wheel off the truck and try it.

It will fit flat on the floor behind the seat, but only just.

I was trying to avoid that, since I don't have a floor jack...and the other is a bit rickety for my taste for that kind of thing.

I just keep my 235 laying flat in the back.

don't sweat it, that's not my truck

As hilarious as it look, that thing looks like a dedicated trail rig. So in that case I'm a hug fan of function over form. Plus it just looks badass:D

No need for a rear bumper with that thing sticking out of the back.

Yeah, something tells me that wouldn't be road legal, even in Minnesota

I do remember that with my '84' with the 205's, had to run the outside carrier. Think my room mate with the 195's had his spare inside on his '84'. I had to use the full size spare because of the L/S.
