Fuel pump removal without the truck bed removed

@RonD , and others. Wanna thank you guys for your responses.
Today, I decided to check all the fuses in the hood, and the wires linking the positive battery cable, to the starter motor solenoid. All the fuses, wires, were in food conditions.
Went to shift the transmission to N, to see if it'd start, it didn't. There was still that click sound coming from the hood.
When I came over to check all the relays, I discovered that the ignition switch or starter relay, I guessed, was shorted. When I opened it up, it was filled with water, and had corroded the windings. Obviously, that was where the problem was coming from.
Got another relay, and wired the whole thing back on. Immediately I turned the ignition switch to crank the engine, it started right up immediately.
Thank God, the fuel pump, and every other thing is good.
Would continue with other jobs on the truck this week.
Thanks everyone.
