It's not there. I pulled the fuel pump assembly from my 96 Ranger 4x4 v6 kingcab and the float is gone. It appears as though everything else is functioning. I can't find a place that will sell the float by itself; you have to buy the entire fuel assembly and that costs some coin. Any suggestions/ideas??

go to your local friendly hardware store and buy an appropriatly sized bottle cork. I did mine more than five years ago.

Has anyone else tried this?

I did the same thing on two trucks and no problems. Many years ago they used to use cork floats in carburetors.

i got my floats from the ford stealership. had to buy in a pack of 4.

Where did you guys get the cork from?

local friendly hardware store. You might have to ask as they may not be out on display.

I used a cork from Home Depot. :icon_thumby:
