fuel problems?

i have a 3.0 it has a 4.0 auto explorer computer in it i bought it like that. IM trying to find the right computer right now for it. can my 3.0 be getting to much fuel with this computer? when i let off the clutch in 1st or reverse sometimes it feels like its about to die like its getting flooded out?

Might try cleaning the IAC, it controls idle regardless which PCM is in it.

didnt kno a 3.0 would run with a 4.0 computer in it. very good possibility for the fuel curve to be incorrect for the amount of air entering the engine.

yeah thats what i said the guy i bought it off of put a explorer computer in it for some reason fin retard. but yeah everything runs except the codes of the tranny differences.
ill clean the iac also thanks a bunch.
any one else have some input?

whats the difference in tranny they are both a4ld correct? needless to say id be at the jy finding the proper computer stat. either that or it could be the classic vacuum assisted fuel pressure regulator isnt working properly (cracked hose, loose connection, worn out spring/diaphragm) and just dumping fuel out the injectors. thats whats always wrong with honda vtx1800 motorcycles ill put it that way. usually the complaint of piss poor fuel economy and black smoke comes in new regulator purrs like a kitten afterwards.
