Fuel line...what are my options?

I’m sure we can get you squared away. I did a fuel tank and pump in my second gen last year. Runs a lot better so I want to redo the entire fuel system once I get a couple other things handled. Won’t hurt for me to make a list now and I will just have to make sure I give you the correct ends for the 2.9 motor in the parts list since I’ll have to use the ends for a 4.0 motor on mine.

Always nice to see an older vehicle run and move again. Dad’s one truck hasn’t run since like 93, we are going to finally try to do something about that this year. My dump truck hasn’t run since like 07, I have the front clip tore off it right now, going to get the heads off and hopefully I don’t have to rebuild the whole motor and just the heads are bad.

Oh dude that would be great, one other question when it comes to the fuel rail did you have to pull the disconnect out of the fuel rail? I'm seeing an quick disconnects on summit that may work but from what my measuring caliper says the tube is only 6mm in outer diameter. Probably a little less counting for thickness of metal one I see on summit says 12mm have no idea if thats length of insert or diameter of the side 1 fitting. But I at least got the 20 ft AN hose coming for it I think it was less than 52 dollars from evil energy but it's also not PTFE it's CPE but I'm not looking to run anymore than normal 30 to 45 psi so I think it'll be fine. Plus survivability will definitely increase by doing these things.

So… yes, I do intend to do the disconnects. I should be able to get mine apart. My green Ranger I couldn’t get it apart on the old rail when I did the engine swap which required me making AN from the disconnect on the engine I swapped in to the fuel filter. I should have gone all the way to the tank then because I started springing leaks after that with the lines back to the pump.

I can get you the correct sizes, I just have to go look, I’ll get to that in a bit hopefully.

I did a bunch of looking around and settled on the PTFE line because I was hearing a lot of reports that ethanol was causing pinholes in the non-PTFE line. Just didn’t want to chance that. Not after seeing the rubber line that someone used to patch the leaking fuel line on my 92 turn into a sprinkler hose which is why I had to replace it with aluminum and fuel injection line.

Yeah I had that happen to a Mercury mountaineer I repaired with fuel resistant hose few years later it started sprinkling fuel. Basically what I learn here I'll apply there.

Still waiting on an fuel lines to get here in the mean time was looking into why fuel pump doesn't work and found ECM is supplying only 6.65volts sounds like I've got resistance from ECM to relay. This is slightly annoying... Will run the wires and see if I'm right from end to end and see if ohming wires out any problems are found may even find that I've had water getting into passenger side compartment and has hurt ECM. Will update you when I get back to work on it.

Sorry I haven’t got the list together yet. I’m not moving as fast as I used to. I’ll get on it today, been up at my buddies since Monday helping him make some progress on his Ranger. Ran out of time before I had to leave on Monday to get it done

Oh it's no problem I've got a lead tech at the shop who knows about some of the stuff needed so I was getting the basics before starting off and I found out that aluminum pipes are able to be used in Virginia for fuel pipes. So hey good news I'll be also getting that and the 32° flare tool for an lines
