What is the tapered rubber part that goes on the bottom of the injector? It looks like it sits against the lower intake and may lightly compress to keep the injector in place.

I don't see it in any 4.0 or 302 parts listings for injecters or related orings, rebuild parts, etc.

I thought it may have been superseded by F77Z-9G512-AA or Dorman 926-028, but apparently not. The Autozone listing for that part gives dimensions which height is the same but ID and OD are significantly different.

Where can I get these? Are they even needed since they seem so hard to find for very common injectors on many late model Fords? Or am I just ignorant to this fancy new stuff and don't know the correct term to search for?

Fuel injector sleeve/seal rubber?

I would suspect Fuel Injector Insulator, But that only list parts for Nissans...

Since they are held in by the o-rings at the top and bottom, I wouldn't be afraid to run without them.
