Last night I noticed that my truck seemed to have a slight "wobble" when going between around 10-20 mph and also felt a little off when turning. Hadn't noticed it until last night and also the truck pulls slightly to the right when I let go of the wheel....I checked this when I first got the truck and it pretty much went straight so it's way off from what it was. Does it sound as simple as needing an alignment or something more severe?

What are some things I can check without having to disassemble the entire front end and what exactly should I be looking for with each part?

2 wheel or 4 wheel drive?

I'll ask the other question. Auto hubs?

Wheel bearings tight? Any looseness in the steering linkage?

My suggestion is to Jack the front end up, place jackstands under the beams. Then work the wheels back and forth and look for play. Also spin the wheel to look for obvious problems. Simple as that.

Ok...I finally am able to get to look at the truck today. I'm only on the driver side right now and so far there was no play on that ball joint...but was wondering if there should be any movement at all when I move it left to right for the tie rod?? It does move a bit on that side haven't checked the other yet...it doesn't move much though...wasn't sure if it should not move at all or what...

Also look into the knuckle joints being bad.

Wow I feel really retarded right now. Apparently the passenger side tire has some knots in it from hitting the railroad tracks too hard on the way to work. I took the two front wheels and switched them out and it pulled to the left when I did that. So then I went back home and put that drivers side on the back and the back on up front and it doesn't do it now. Not really too concerned with it being like that as long as it doesn't affect anything. I'll have to drive slower over the tracks from now on I guess.
