front winch mount

i need some ideas to mount a winch on my gen 3.....any ideas out there...somethin that is a little cheeper than the duff bumper?

somethin like a push bar or reese hitch up front

Get an old hitch from a junkyard. Minivans are a good target cause they are most likely oversized.

Take some carfeful measurements, draw some fancy pictures on a McD's napkin (ok, thats what I did)

Call a welder.

Bolt it on.

There you go, a versatile front reciever, custom made for your truck.

Howabout behind the stock bumper? Catch is that you need a body lift...

If you get creative with your mounts you can get a proper laydown (like an m8000) to spool through the factory bumper hole with no body lift...I just figured a whole bumper was a better fit for me.

I built my own take 1 old reciever off an old truck cut down well on 1/4 inch plate on the end gusset drill holes mount and your done

Im not a real big fan of whinches that stick that far out on trucks that sit so low, realy hurts the approch angle....good idea tho
